My Bloody Valentine to Headline L.A.'s FYF Fest

Jay-Z, Vampire Weekend Kick Off Soggy All Points West
Wes Orshoski My Bloody Valentine performs at All Points West. August 1, 2009.

Shoegaze legends My Bloody Valentine will play their first U.S. gig since 2009 at Los Angeles' FYF Festival.
Also on hand for the fest -- which runs Aug. 24-25 at L.A. State Historic Park -- are acts like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Solange, and MGMT.
The decade-old punk and indie rock fest broke the news today on KCRW's morning show "Morning Becomes Eclectic," when fest founder Sean Carlson played a bit of My Bloody Valentine's "Only Shallow," the opening track from their 1991 landmark "Loveless."
In February, the Kevin Shields-led band finally released their long-awaited "Loveless" follow-up, "MBV." So far, no more American dates have been announced.
Fans of early 90s indie rock should also be glad to see the Breeders were added to the lineup as well, playing their 1993 album "Last Splash" in its entirety.
Tickets are on sale here Thursday, May 16 at 12 PM (PST).
