Whitney Houston's songs can still overwhelm her fans. A passenger on board an American Airlines flight made just that point when she belted-out Houston’s hits at full voice -- a stunt that caused the pilot to make an emergency landing.
The flight from Los Angeles International Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport made an unscheduled stop in Kansas when the passenger refused to put a stop her impromptu Whitney Houston song-fest.
One passenger filmed and uploaded video of federal air marshals removing the woman, hand-cuffed, from the cabin as she gives passengers an earful of "I Will Always Love You" -- a Dolly Parton-penned ballad which was a covered by Houston for the hit 1992 “The Bodyguard” soundtrack.
According to KCTV 5, an airport spokesperson said the woman has blamed her diabetes for the musical outburst. She was interviewed and released without charges.
The airline refused to fly her to her destination.
