Tell me lies, slap me on the face, just…
Improvise, do something really clever
That’ll make me hate your name forever

You might swear, you’d never touch a lady
Well, let me say, you’re not too far from maybe
Every day you find new ways to hurt me

But I can’t help it if I’m just a fool
Always having my heart set on you
‘Till the time you start changing the rules
I’ll keep chasing the soles of your shoes
Ha ha ha ha ha ha, fool

God resigned, from hearing my old story
Every night, I’m praying hell for glory
I’m embarrassed but I’m much more sorry

All this pain, begins to feel like pleasure
With my tears, you’d make a sea a desert
Salt my wounds and I’ll keep saying thank you

But I can’t help it if I’m just a fool
Always having my heart set on you
‘Till the time you start changing the rules
I’ll keep chasing the soles of your shoes
Ha ha ha ha ha ha, fool

But I can’t help it if I’m just a fool
Always having my heart set on you
‘Till the time you start changing the rules
I’ll keep chasing the soles of your shoes
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, fool

I can’t help it baby
Ha ha fool
I can’t help it baby
Ha ha fool
I can’t help it baby
Ha ha fool
I can’t help it baby baby
Ha ha ha ha fool
I’m a fool
I’m a fool
I’m a mmm.

 The Music-Lover

The Music-Lover had come to his favourite seat. It was in the front row of the balcony, just where the curve reaches its outermost point, and, like a rounded headland, meets the unbroken flow of the long-rolling, invisible waves of rhythmical sound.
The value of that chosen place did not seem to be known to the world, else there would have been a higher price demanded for the privilege of occupying it. People were willing to pay far more to get into the boxes, or even to have a chair reserved on the crowded level of the parquet.
But the Music-Lover cared little for fashion, and had long ago ceased to reckon the worth of things by the prices asked for them in the market.
He knew that his coign of vantage, by some secret confluence of architectural lines, gave him the very best of the delight of hearing that the vast concert-hall contained. It was for that delight that he was thirsting, and he surrendered himself to it confidently and entirely.
He had arrived at an oasis in the day. Since morning he had been toiling through the Sahara of the city's noise: arid, senseless, inhospitable noise: roaring of wheels, clanging of bells, shrieking of whistles, clatter of machinery, squawking of horns, raucous and strident voices: confused, bewildering, exhausting noise, a desolate and unfriendly desert of heard ugliness.
Now all that waste, howling wilderness was shut out by the massive walls of the concert-hall, and he found himself in a haven of refuge.
But silence alone would not have healed and restored his spirit. It needed something more than the absence of harsh and brutal and meaningless noise to satisfy him. It needed the presence of music: tones measured, ordered, and restrained; varied and blended not by chance, but by feeling and reason; sound expressive of the secret life and the rhythmical emotion of the human heart. And this he found flowing all around him, entering deeply into him, filling all the parched and empty channels of his being, as he listened to Beethoven's great Symphony in C Minor.

The Music on the Hill

Sylvia Seltoun ate her breakfast in the morning-room at Yessney with a pleasant sense of ultimate victory, such as a fervent Ironside might have permitted himself on the morrow of Worcester fight. She was scarcely pugnacious by temperament, but belonged to that more successful class of fighters who are pugnacious by circumstance. Fate had willed that her life should be occupied with a series of small struggles, usually with the odds slightly against her, and usually she had just managed to come through winning. And now she felt that she had brought her hardest and certainly her most important struggle to a successful issue. To have married Mortimer Seltoun, "Dead Mortimer" as his more intimate enemies called him, in the teeth of the cold hostility of his family, and in spite of his unaffected indifference to women, was indeed an achievement that had needed some determination and adroitness to carry through; yesterday she had brought her victory to its concluding stage by wrenching her husband away from Town and its group of satellite watering-places and "settling him down," in the vocabulary of her kind, in this remote wood-girt manor farm which was his country house.
"You will never get Mortimer to go," his mother had said carpingly, "but if he once goes he'll stay; Yessney throws almost as much a spell over him as Town does. One can understand what holds him to Town, but Yessney--" and the dowager had shrugged her shoulders.
There was a sombre almost savage wildness about Yessney that was certainly not likely to appeal to town-bred tastes, and Sylvia, notwithstanding her name, was accustomed to nothing much more sylvan than "leafy Kensington." She looked on the country as something excellent and wholesome in its way, which was apt to become troublesome if you encouraged it overmuch. Distrust of townlife had been a new thing with her, born of her marriage with Mortimer, and she had watched with satisfaction the gradual fading of what she called "the Jermyn-Street-look" in his eyes as the woods and heather of Yessney had closed in on them yesternight. Her will-power and strategy had prevailed; Mortimer would stay. Outside the morning-room windows was a triangular slope of turf, which the indulgent might call a lawn, and beyond its low hedge of neglected fuschia bushes a steeper slope of heather and bracken dropped down into cavernous combes overgrown with oak and yew. In its wild open savagery there seemed a stealthy linking of the joy of life with the terror of unseen things. Sylvia smiled complacently as she gazed with a School-of-Art appreciation at the landscape, and then of a sudden she almost shuddered.

 paroles enrique iglesia hero

(Let me be your hero)

Would you dance if I asked you to dance
Would you run and never look back
Would you cry if you saw me crying
Would you save my soul tonight

Would you tremble if I touched your lips
Would you laugh oh please tell me this
Now would you die for the one you love
Hold me in your arms tonight

I can be your hero baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away

Would you swear that you'll always be mine
Would you lie
Would you run and hide
Am I in too deep
Have I lost my mind
I don't care you're here tonight

I can be your hero baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away

Ohhh I just wanna hold you,
I just wanna hold you, oh yeah
Am I in too deep have I lost my mind
I don't care you're here tonight

I can be your hero baby
I can kiss away the pain
(Oh yeah)
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away

I can be your hero
I can kiss away the pain
And I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away
You can take my breath away
I can be your hero

Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai Lyrics – Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Tu hi to mannat meri, Tu hi rooh ka sukoon
Tu hi aakhion ki thandak, tu hi dil ki hai dastak
Aur kuch na janu mein, bas itna hi jaanu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Sajdhe sar jukhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Ohhhh hoooo ohh….
Kaisi hai yeh doori, kaisi majboori
Meine nazron se tujhe choo liya
Oh ho ho Kabhi teri khusboo
Kabhi teri baatein
Bin mange yeh jahan pa liya
Tu hi dil ki hai raunak,
Tu hi janmo ki daulat
Aur kuch na janoo
Bas itna hi janoo
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Sajdhe sar jukhta hai
Yaara mein kya karuo
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karuo
Vasdi vasdi vasdi, dil di dil vich vasdi
Nasdi nasdi nasdi, dil ro ve te nasdi
Rab Ne… Bana Di Jodi…..haiiiiii
Vasdi vasdi vasdi, dil di dil vich vasdi
Nasdi nasdi nasdi, dil ro ve te nasdi
Cham cham aaye, mujhe tarsaye
Tera saaya ched ke chumta
Oh ho ho… tu jo muskaye
Tu jo sharmaye
Jaise mera hai khuda jhumta
Tu hi meri hai barkat, tu hi meri ibadat
Aur kuch na janu, bas itna hi janu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Sajdhe sar jukhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai

parole michael jackson you are not alone

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Chorus 1:
Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here to stay
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

Chorus 2:
You are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
You are not alone

All alone
Why, alone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Chorus 1
Chorus 2

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that
I'll be there
I'll be there

Chorus 2
(Repeat - ad lib to end)

parole celine dion my heart will go on

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you,
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're one

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

There is some love that will not go away

You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Shakira biography

Quick Facts

Best Known For

Born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, Shakira is a hugely popular Colombian pop singer who is well known for her 2000s hit "Hips Don't Lie.

Synopsis

Hugely successfully Colombian pop singer and dancer, Shakira (b. February 2, 1977) has won two Grammy Awards, seven Latin Grammy Awards, twelve Billboard Latin Music Awards, and has been Golden Globe-nominated. She is the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time, and the second most successful female Latin singer after Gloria Estefan. Her U.S. album sales stand at 9.6 million.

Early Life and Career

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was born on February 2, 1977, in Barranquilla, Colombia. With a Lebanese father and Colombian mother, Shakira honors her Latino and Arabic heritage in her music. She wrote her first song at the age of 8 and signed her first record deal at 13.
After her first two albums flopped, Shakira took the reins of her third album, becoming involved in every aspect of its production. Released in 1996, Pies Descalzos, meaning "bare feet," sold more than three million copies. The album featured her trademark sound, a blending of Latin, rock, and Arabic musical styles. The follow-up record, Dónde Están Los Ladrones? (1998), which translates as "Where are the thieves?", reached the top of Billboard's Latin charts. Based on the success of her albums, Shakira became a music superstar in the Spanish-language markets, known for her strong vocals and incredible hip-shaking belly dance moves.

International Stardom

While hugely popular in much of the rest of the world, Shakira had not yet achieved a major record on the U.S. pop charts. She moved to Miami with her family to further her goal, and taught herself to write songs in English. She enlisted Emilio Estefan, of Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine fame, to act as her manager and producer. Her first English-language album, Laundry Service (2001), provided Shakira with the success in the United States that she longed for—the album was No. 3 on the charts, selling more than 200,000 copies in the first week. The songs "Whenever, Wherever" and "Underneath Your Clothes" were both big hits.
Shakira returned to the Top 10 of the albums chart in 2005 twice. She first released the Spanish-language Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 in June, which was followed in November by English-language Oral Fixation, Vol. 2. She received the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album for Fijación Oral, Vol. 1, her second time winning such an honor. Previously, she had won a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album for 2000's Shakira: MTV Unplugged.
Touring extensively, Shakira released two concert albums: 2007's Live and 2008's Oral Fixation Tour. In July 2009, Shakira released the new single, "She Wolf," from her studio album of the same name. The album went platinum in 2010, and hit No. 15 on the Billboard charts in 2009. Her hit "Waka Waka" from 2010's Sale el Sol became the theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The global superstar headed on tour shortly after to promote her album.

'The Voice'

In late 2012, Shakira was confirmed as one of the newest judges/coaches of NBC's popular singing-competition show The Voice..

Along with R&B singer-songwriter Usher, Shakira will make her debut on the show in March 2013, for season 4. The newcomers join returning judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and take the place of Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera. "Usher and Shakira are coming into it as a big frickin' institution,
" Levine said in late 2012, according to The Huffington Post. "So it's different, but it still feels good, because they're legitimate artists."

Personal Life

In addition to her busy career, Shakira created the Pies Descalzos Foundation to help children in her native Colombia. She is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and was awarded a UN International Labor Organization medal in 2010 for her philanthrophic efforts.
Shakira is in a relationship with Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique. The couple welcomed their first child together in January 2013. They named their son Milan, which means "dear, loving and gracious" in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, "eager and laborious"; and in Sanskrit, "unification," according to a statement on Shakira's website.

Mother

I remember her smile I still remember that sweet face That helped me to be whom I am She is the Light of my Life Lighting my life This life is nothing without her Giving us inspiring smile Feeding us with her cheerful face Oh my mother may God keep you for us For nine months you carried me For two years you feed me For the rest of my life you were there For to support me and inspire me When I am in pain I find no one to talk to But to you I always saw you When I am in pain you know it Before a letter comes out of my mouth Oh Lord her favors never ended She was always there for me Never leaving me lonely Always inspired me to do better May you keep her for us I can never live without her She is my life She will always be My mother Now that I am away I still hear your voice Talking to me during the day And singing a song before I sleep Your "good night" wish is always heard Making me not want to stay awake When I am stressed at work I always feel your hand touching me Telling me things will be alright Even though you are somwhere else I still feel that you are around Oh lord keep her for me Because my life is useless Without her....

Artspeak: culture sector's most wanted

Following Daniel Blight's plea to put an end to artspeak, help us collect some of the most confusing and complex lingo going
What are you saying? Help us find the good, the bad and the downright confusing in artspeak. Photograph: Sarah Lee for the Guardian
Daniel Blight wrote an excellent piece this week on how to write an artist statement, and the reasons why we need to drop the artspeak, the "preposterously complex, jargon-laden" descriptions associated with art. And it goes for more than just statements: what about performance programmes, promotional tweets, or the words that arts PRs sometimes use to drive us hacks up the wall?
Take this example, from Daniel's piece:
Combining radical notions of performativity and the body as liminal space, my practice interrogates the theoretical limitations of altermodernism. My work, which traverses disparate realms of object-making such as painting and performance, investigates the space between metabolism and metaphysics and the aporia inherent to such a discourse
Impressed? As some of you have told us, not at all – and never.
Of course, the vocabulary and sentiment of artspeak is not without its meaning (and place) but to engage wider audiences, don't we need to clear things up a little bit?
Well, in an effort to do just that, and inject a little bit of fun into your week, why not help us in collecting some of the most confusing, complex and inaccessible arts bumph about, as a lesson in what not to do the next time you decide to put pen on paper.
