Chris Rock is a funny guy, sometimes even when he’s being serious. Case in point: the actor, who’s currently working on Grown Ups 2 among other projects, said in a recent interview with the New York Times that Grown Ups (in case you’ve forgotten about that movie, it was one of those Adam Sandler vehicles where he gets together with his actor buddies and they spit out a film) is better than The Artist. Here’s the quote:
“Dude, people love Grown Ups. I don’t care what the critics say. Who won the Academy Award this year? The Artist? Hey, The Artist was great. Grown Ups is better than The Artist, and it’s better than The Artist ’cause the audience says so. No film critic’s going to say it, but Madagascar 3 is better than The Artist, and it’s better because it makes people feel better. That’s ultimately what it boils down to.”

Obviously, the implication is that box office results are an indication of how good a movie is. Grown Ups ($271 million) and Madagascar 3 ($522 million!) both handily beat The Artist ($133 million, which is amazing for a black and white silent film) at the box office. However, no one really knows how good a movie is before they throw down their $15 at the theatre. Also, let’s do an experiment – here are two groups of movies. The first set did poorly at the box office, the other set did quite well. Which group would you rather

watch?

Fight Club

Blade Runner

Citizen Kane

The Shawshank Redemption

It’s a Wonderful Life

The Big Lebowski

or

10,000 BC

Wild Hogs

Pearl Harbor

The Last Airbender

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel
Jack and Jill

Jack Johnson Replaces Mumford & Sons at Bonnaroo

Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson has been announced as the new Saturday night headliner at Bonnaroo, replacing Mumford & Sons, whose bassist Ted Dwane is recovering from brain surgery earlier this week.
In a statement released by festival organizers on Friday, Johnson said he got the call yesterday to play the show and immediately summoned his band.
"I've got a lot of lyrics and chords to relearn by Saturday night," he admitted. " I was here to play the first Bonnaroo and it is a very special festival to my band. We are excited to hit the stage again."
To fill Mumford's shoes, Billboard has learned that simultaneous requests were made to Johnson and Darius Rucker. Johnson was already on the grounds for surprise press appearances in support of his upcoming album "From Here To Now To You," while Rucker's tour schedule had him playing in Baltimore on Saturday night.
On Thusday, Mumford & Sons said on Facebook that Dwane's surgery for a blood clot on the surface of his brain went well and he's "on the road to a full recovery," but in order to give him time to recover, the four-piece has nixed its appearance at the festival, as well as a set at Colorado's Telluride Bluegrass Festival next week.
"If we could've we would've, you know that about us," the post read. "We trust that you can respect our collective desire to encourage Ted to make a full recovery, and that this is based purely on the medical advice we have received."

Céline Dion - My Heart Will Go On Lyrics

 "My Heart Will Go On"

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you,
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You're here, there's nothing i fear,
And i know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
